God's Holy Spirit is moving upon the earth in a supernatural way giving us insight and revelations about how much He really loves us, and what real love means. God is Love. To know God is to know love. Copyright © 1998 Seek God Ministries

book The Anointing
August 9, 1997 I was awakened in the morning after a very vivid dream. I
was in the Middle East in a Muslim country, a desert like setting, there was a
war that was surrounding me, it was raging in the distance, but I felt no fear
of danger. There were some people around and in front of me was an older man and
a teenage boy they were both of Arab descent. The older man said something to
the boy, then the boy turned his head to hear the older man. Then the boy turned
to me and said I have to hear out of this ear because I am deaf in the other
one. He turned his head to show me, his ear was gone there was only scar tissue
and the hole into his ear was mostly covered. I knew that he had been wounded in
the war sometime before. I felt compassion and moved with it. I said to him God
can heal your ear, pray this prayer after me. I led him to Jesus with a sinner's
prayer, I saw tears in his eyes and I knew that the God of compassion was
touching his heart, then I had him continue on to pray for his ear to be healed,
he did. Then he said it is too hard, as if to say that is too big of a miracle
to really happen, I replied that it is not too hard for God. I then looked at
the side of his head and I saw a creative miracle taking place as God made him a
new ear and restored his hearing. Sharing this experience with Him in Jesus made
me feel very close to him, I gave him a hug and I awoke, and then began thinking
about the dream.
I believe that the Lord was showing me that the battle that surrounded me
in the distance was the line that Satan has tried to draw around the Muslim
nations to keep the truth of Jesus out. But God is going to reveal His love from
behind the battle lines. Not by might nor by power but by His Spirit. Just as He
works from the inside of a person’s heart He is going to work from the inside
of the hearts of these nations. He will do what ever it takes to get the gospel
to the people including dreams, visions, and personal appearances of Jesus. I
also believe that there will be people that will have experiences similar to
Philip’s as recorded in Acts chapter 8 where they will be translated to other
places bringing the gospel and then be return back. Sometimes they will not know
if they dreamed it or if it was a real experience.
The Lord has shown me from this dream that God has chosen people in the
Muslim world many of them from the younger generation that will lead a new
revolution, a revolution for Jesus not Muhammad. God is going to give them ears
to hear and believe His true word. The god of this world for many years has
tried to keep these people from the knowledge of God and they have turned a deaf
ear to Jesus but not anymore. A revolution is coming in the Muslim world soon,
and it won't be for Muhammad it will be for Jesus. A war will rage against this
revolution and there will be many martyrs for Christ, and much persecution of
Christians, but many will come to know Jesus through it all and there will be
many supernatural signs and wonders from the God of compassion.
Many people will say that it is to hard for God to reach the Muslims.
Those people need to go outside at night and look up at the stars so they can
get a perspective of the ability of God. Are we not the generation that saw
communist Russia break down its own walls of separation and invite western
Christians into their class rooms to preach the gospel and pass out Bibles. That
was only a sample of things to come.
Another thing that the Lord showed me after I awoke was that was a good
way to pray for someone's healing, have the people do it them selves, because it
took all the glory away from me and gave it all to Jesus. We must be moved by
God’s compassionate love to introduce people to Jesus, and then help them
strengthen their relationship with Him. People easily become dependent upon
other people to pray for them, and hear from God a message for them. Of course
we are to pray for each other but nothing and no one should come between God and
us; Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. By having the boy pray for
his own healing and him seeing this demonstration of God's love for him in one
minute he had begun an awesome relationship with the God of the universe, and
his faith was strengthened more than some people who have been Christians for
may years.
Our relationship with God is a very personal one. A person who thinks
they need to go to a great faith healer so God will heal them needs to know God
better, so that they can understand His love for them. I believe that we are to
stand in the gap for a person long enough to have them join hands with Jesus and
then we should get out of the way. My concept of standing in the gap is with one
hand holding on to Jesus and with the other hand holding on to the lost soul
that you have compassion for, bringing this person close enough to Jesus to put
their hand in His. When this happens you actually become one with the person in
Jesus, there is no closer relationship possible.
We are a chosen generation a royal priesthood. Chosen to live at this
time in history to accomplish the works of God that He shall do through us. (1
Peter 2:9 NKJV) But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy
nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who
called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. I believe that we are a
generation that will see Jesus do greater works through us than He did when He
walked on the earth, it is our hour of destiny. The book of Acts is still being
written how many chapters will be about you? (John
14:12-13 NKJV) "Most
assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do
also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. {13}
"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be
glorified in the Son.
(Habakkuk 2:14 KJV) For the
earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters
cover the sea. The
glory of God is His compassionate love. God is love. A rain is beginning to fall
on people that are seeking the knowledge of God, seeking to know Him better,
seeking to know His compassionate love, and seeking His righteousness. (Hosea 10:12 KJV) Sow to
yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for
it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
We know that Jesus Christ is made unto to us wisdom and righteousness. Through
the blood of Jesus we are made pure and holy. (1
Corinthians 1:30-31 NKJV) But of
Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God; and
righteousness and sanctification and redemption; {31} that, as it is written,
"He who glories, let him glory in the LORD."
We have the garment of salvation, now is the time to put on the robe of
righteousness. (Isaiah 61:10 NKJV) I will
greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has
clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of
righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride
adorns herself with her jewels. Jesus Christ is the Lord our Righteousness. (Romans 13:14 NIV) Rather,
clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to
gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Salvation is like a candle burning
in us, righteousness is like throwing gas on the flame, then the brightness of
the light shines forth to the people around us, and to the nations.
(Isaiah 62:1-2 NIV) For Zion's sake
I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing
torch. {2} The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your
glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.
Salvation is Jesus in us; righteousness is Jesus shinning out from us, bringing
light, and the glory of God, to people people's lives, making a difference.
We are taught by the Lord to seek His strength and His face constantly. (1
Chronicles 16:11 KJV) Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
But we also know that if we see God's face we will die, God told Moses in (Exodus
33:20 NKJV) "You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and
live." But that sounds good to a Christian, who is truly seeking God,
they say that’s OK your face Lord I will seek. Because true Christians know
that no good thing dwells in their flesh, they know they must die to self to
live in Christ. (Romans 8:11-14 NKJV)
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He
who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
through His Spirit who dwells in you. {12} Therefore, brethren, we are debtors;
not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. {13} For if you live according
to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of
the body, you will live. {14} For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these
are sons of God. Satan can posses live flesh, but God can only posses dead
flesh. Then when our flesh dies the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead
gives new spiritual life to us so that we can be possessed by the glory of God. (Romans 8:10 NKJV) And if
Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life
because of righteousness.
Many wonderful things happen as you seek God's face. Your focus on God
causes you to turn your back on the cares of this world and you have a new
perspective. Where your eyes are focused is the direction you are moving to.
When you seek His face, you instantly begin moving closer to God, into His
presence, into the secret place of the Most High. The influence that your flesh
has on your decision making process is gone. The temptations from your flesh
disappear. Diseases and sickness is healed, pain and suffering from your flesh
vanish. The joy of the Lord begins to strengthen you and you become
compassionate. The cares of this world are no longer important to you. Burdens
fall away. All the things from your flesh that used to weigh you down including
pride are removed and you are left with freedom. Flesh is like the force of
gravity keeping us down, seeking God and His strength is like floating free in
outer space. When things look bad on the Earth, look up, for your deliverance is
getting close; and coming fast.
A rain is beginning to fall on people who are seeking the knowledge of
God. The former rain fell in the book of Acts as the Church was born and they
came together in unity with one heart to seek God. When they came together with
one accord the power of the Holy Spirit fell and they got a taste of the power
of God, they saw what it was like to be united in one with their brothers and
sisters in the unity of compassionate love for one another. (Ezekiel 11:19 KJV) And I
will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will
take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh.
The book of Acts gave us a taste of things to come,
an example to follow of unity in the body of Christ. That was the former rain
upon the earth, but we are beginning to see a few sprinkles of the latter rain,
which is about to fall upon those seeking the knowledge of God. (Hosea
6:3 NKJV) Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His
going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain,
Like the latter and former rain to the earth. I believe that the latter rain
will be much greater than the former rain, it will be the climax of the church
coming together in unity. It will be the people of God united in compassionate
love in the final preparation to be joined with Christ in the wedding ceremony. (Ephesians
5:26-27 NKJV) that He might
sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, {27} that He
might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or
any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. The latter
rain of righteousness will wash us and make us holy. The latter rain will
produce the final great harvest of souls upon the Earth, with more than five
billion people and the population increasing rapidly the harvest is close to
being fully ripe. (Isaiah 45:8 NKJV) "Rain down, you heavens, from above, And let the skies
pour down righteousness; Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, And
let righteousness spring up together. I, the LORD, have created it.
I believe that the latter rain will fall on believers seeking the
knowledge of God and His righteousness. Then when we are full of righteousness
and we are with one accord and one heart and united in compassionate love, then
a river of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is going to flood the earth through
us. The river is going to flow through
us, God's vessels of compassion. (Isaiah
59:19 NIV) From the west, men will
fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his
glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the Spirit of the LORD drives
along. As people seek God earnestly, not letting go until they receive the
blessing of righteousness falling like a heavy monsoon rain upon them from
heaven, then out of them will flow rivers of living water that will water the
whole earth. The river is backed up behind your heart like a pent-up flood, open
your heart and let rivers of living water flow out, and touch your neighbor with
the living water of compassion.
I see a river of God beginning to flow a river of compassion and
knowledge of who God really is. It is beginning to make its way through the dry
riverbed filling in the low parts and surrounding the small rocks. But it will
become a major flood that will take us into the unity of the body of Christ. The
scales will be lifted off our eyes so we can catch a glimpse of God's goodness
and loving compassion. When we move into full compassion for our brothers and
sisters then the Church, the body of Christ will move into full unity, which
will prepare us to meet the Lord Jesus Christ.
This river will water the whole earth, touching every nation and ethnic
group, the people who drink from this river will shout for joy. It will be a
sovereign move of God; the river will not run dry. It will produce the greatest
harvest of souls the world has ever seen. This river of love will soften even
the hardest hearts and they too will produce an abundance of fruit. The river of
God is called compassion the flow is carried by the Holy Spirit, and we will
shout and sing for joy when it touches our hearts.
(Psalms 65:8-13 NLT) Those
who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the
sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy. {9} You take care of the
earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God will not run
dry; they provide a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so. {10}
You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the
ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops. {11} You
crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with
abundance. {12} The wilderness becomes a lush pasture, and the hillsides blossom
with joy. {13} The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are
carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!
(Psalms 16:11 NKJV)
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. This river of compassion will
bring the presence of God so strong that we will feel like we are inside the
pillar of cloud that led the children of Israel through the desert. (Nehemiah
9:19-20 NKJV) Yet in Your manifold
mercies (compassion) You did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of
the cloud did not depart from them by day, To lead them on the road; Nor the
pillar of fire by night, To show them light, And the way they should go. {20}
You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, And did not withhold Your manna
from their mouth, And gave them water for their thirst.
The cloud represents the Holy Spirit; now that we have Christ, who has
reconciled us to God we have His presence in us. The mana is the word of God
that feeds us giving us strength and nourishment. The water of life is Jesus
Christ our righteousness. (Matthew 5:6
NKJV) Blessed are those who hunger
and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. I believe that the
presence of God will be so strong in believers who seek the face of God and His
strength that people around us will sense it in a mighty way. I believe that you
will walk in the pillar of cloud of the presence of God, it will surround you.
(2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV) For
the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself
strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. God is continuously looking for someone that He can
demonstrate His loving compassion through, and someone He can impute His
strength upon. He is looking for those whose heart is perfect toward Him; He is
looking for the righteous to show forth His strength and demonstrations of
compassion. We are made righteous by faith. By believing the blood of Jesus
cleanses us from all unrighteousness, we enter into righteousness. Jesus Christ
is the Lord our Righteousness. (1 Peter
3:12 NKJV) For the eyes of the LORD
are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers.
We walk in righteousness by being obedient to God's Word, being led by
the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:14 KJV)
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
The Holy Spirit will cause us to remember the appropriate Word of God at the
right place and in the right time, which applies to our current situation. (John
14:26 KJV) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Righteousness is the breastplate in our spiritual armor that guards our
heart. If our heart does not condemn us then we are righteous. If there is
something between us and God, which is sin, He will reveal that unto us. We are
to confess that which the Lord reveals to us as sin, and He will restore
righteousness unto us. (1 John 1:9 KJV) If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we are walking in the Word of God, being led by the Spirit, we
are righteous, if our heart does not condemn us. Then we can ask what we will,
because our will is God's will, because we share the same Spirit. (1
John 3:21-23 NKJV) Beloved, if our
heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. {22} And whatever we
ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things
that are pleasing in His sight. {23} And this is His commandment: that we should
believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us
commandment. Keeping God's commandments means walking in love, loving God,
and loving our neighbor. Walking in love is doing the things that are pleasing
to God, actions of compassion.
If our heart does not condemn us, we have faith toward God, then we are
free to be a vessel of compassion. A channel for the river of life to flow
through, which is the river of compassionate love. The eyes of the LORD are
searching throughout the whole earth, to demonstrate His strength in the behalf
of them whose heart is perfect toward him. He is calling you, He is waiting for
you, your mission if you choose to accept it, is the same as Jesus ministry on
Earth. (Luke 4:18-19 NKJV) "The
Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel
to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to
the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are
oppressed; {19} To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."
We know that Jesus spoke these words at the beginning of His ministry,
but that was just the beginning, the rest of Jesus ministry is, and will be,
accomplished by Him working through us. (John
14:12-13 NKJV) "Most
assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do
also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. {13}
"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be
glorified in the Son.
I believe
that we will do greater works than Jesus did on Earth because He went to the
Father and sat down with the Father on His throne, this gave Him all power and
all authority to rule the universe, while in your heart. We were created in the
image of God so that we could be used by Him to do the works of God. Our work is
to believe it. It is time for you to believe the Word of God and not just think
that it is for some other person at some other time. THE
WORD IS FOR YOU, AND THE WORD IS FOR NOW!
Whatever we ask that glorifies Jesus we can expect Him to do. The glory
of the Lord is compassion, anything that demonstrates the compassion of Jesus;
He is ready, willing, able, and anxious to do through us, His vessels of
compassion. (Isaiah 58:6-8 NKJV) "Is
this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo
the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?
{7} Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your
house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And
not hide yourself from your own flesh? {8} Then your light shall break forth
like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your
righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear
guard.
When you walk in compassion, demonstrating the love of God, your
righteousness shall go before you. That means Jesus will go before you preparing
the way and leading you. The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. The
Hebrew word for rear guard is the word 'acaph, it means to gather, or to
receive. You will receive the glory of the Lord; glory will be drawn to you. The
glory of the Lord is compassion, God dwells in compassion, and God is
compassion. When you have compassion flowing through you, the presence of God,
the glory of the Lord, is flowing through you touching people around you. The
glory of the Lord is in you and surrounds you; it is the secret place of the
Most High God.
I believe that the glory of God will be so strong in you that strangers
will come up to you and say I don't know what it is but I sense something good
about you that I like. Be ready to give an answer. I believe that you will be
walking by someone and they will be dramatically healed. Be ready to give an
answer. I believe that people in sin will feel such conviction around you that
they will either have to confess and get saved or they will ask you to leave for
fear of dying on the spot. Be ready to give an answer. There will be enough salt
in you to flavor the neighborhood, the light in you will shine so bright that it
will light your city. Be ready to give an answer. (1 Peter 3:15 KJV) But
sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to
every man that ask you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and
fear
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In an instant of
time in what we call the "Big Bang", the Spirit of God converted
energy to matter and matter exploded out to from the order of the universe,
planets, stars, solar systems, and galaxies. Not by might, nor by outside force,
but by God's Spirit. That same Spirit that created the universe lives in you,
that same power dwells in you. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but He
has given us the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of power, which is the Spirit of Love.
The same power that resurrects the dead dwells in you. (Romans 8:11 NKJV) But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the
dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to
your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. If you believe,
nothing is impossible. (Mark 11:23 NKJV)
"For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be
removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes
that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
If we abide in Jesus, and His words live in us than we can ask what we
will and it shall be done. When Jesus words abide in us then His will is our
will. We pray the prayers that Jesus is ready to answer. (John
15:7-12 NKJV) "If you abide in
Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be
done for you. {8} "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much
fruit; so you will be My disciples. {9} "As the Father loved Me, I also
have loved you; abide in My love. {10} "If you keep My commandments, you
will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in
His love. {11} "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain
in you, and that your joy may be full. {12} "This is My commandment, that
you love one another as I have loved you. Joy comes from love, which is
compassion, when the compassion of God is flowing through us we are in fullness
of joy; we are in His presence. The river of life is flowing through us and it
will cause us to bear much fruit. Wherever the river touches it will draw the
thirsty to drink, it will heal, and it will set free.
Some of us have enough faith to believe that God can heal a headache,
some people can believe for more. We have seen cancer healed, and some other
fatal diseases, gradually some people are getting enough faith to believe Jesus
for the miraculous. But it is no more difficult for God to heal a headache than
to make arms and legs grow on people that were born without them. At the time of
this writing I am not aware of this happening yet, although there have been
cases where one leg was a little shorter than the other and the Lord healed
them. It seems the Lord is gradually building our faith. The reason that we have
not seen arms and legs dramatically grow out from stubs is because God is
waiting for someone to get to know Him and His compassion well enough to believe
that He has enough love to want to do it. God is waiting for a vessel of
compassion, whose heart is perfect toward Him, someone who has compassion for a
person in this condition and moves to pray, before any doubt and fear can hinder
their faith. Thus it may be a child that prays for someone like this the first
time; not knowing that the rest of us think it is too difficult for God. We'll
see it on the news.
Doubt and fear are the opposite of faith. They mean you don't trust God
and don't understand His compassion. Ask your self what does Jesus want to do?
He wants to do through you, what He did before you were born, and greater things
now than He did before. I think that the reason we see more internal miracles
than external ones is because we can't see into someone's cancer and get doubt
and fear. Faith requires us to take our eyes off the physical world and look to
Jesus in the spiritual world, that is where the eternal power is; the things on
Earth are temporary. (2 Corinthians 4:18
NIV) So we fix our eyes not on what
is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is
unseen is eternal. (Hebrews 11:1 NIV) Now
faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Peter walked on the water while he was looking at Jesus, but as soon as
he looked at the physical world, the waves and wind, he began to sink. But when
he was sinking he knew where to look, at Jesus. (Matthew
14:30-31 NKJV) But when he saw that
the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out,
saying, "Lord, save me!" {31} And immediately Jesus stretched out His
hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you
doubt?" To move into the realm of faith requires a total focus on
Jesus, not any thing else, or anyone on Earth.
There is a principle that as soon as you receive a word from the Lord,
the spirit of fear comes to bring doubt, and steal the word from you. When you
hear a word from the Lord move quickly not ever thinking, what if…? If God
said it, do not allow yourself to think what if. It does not matter what people
say, it does not matter what the physical circumstances are.
We are to bring the gospel to a lost and hurting world. We are vessels of
God's compassion. We are not bringing a religion to them. We are bringing the
power of the living God, to save and to heal. The reason for the people's
infirmity is to demonstrate the loving compassion of Jesus Christ. (John 9:2-3 KJV) And his
disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that
he was born blind? {3} Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his
parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. Now we
know that no one is without sin, but Jesus was saying that the man's blindness
was a set up so the love of God could be demonstrated, this is always true. No
matter what the reason for the problem, even if it was a result of sin, it is
always an opportunity to demonstrate the loving compassion of Jesus, to heal and
to save. This is what separates Christianity from religion for the unbeliever to
see.
Jesus healed people to demonstrate that He had the power to also forgive
sins, bringing them into the Kingdom of Heaven. (Luke
5:23-24 NKJV) "Which is
easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Rise up and walk'?
{24} "But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to
forgive sins"; He said to the man who was paralyzed, "I say to you,
arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."
If we do not allow doubt to enter in, then faith can remain constant, and
if we know that we are moving in compassion, and God's will, we have confidence.
(Matthew 21:21-22 NKJV)
So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you
have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree,
but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it
will be done. {22} "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you
will receive."
It is a good idea to ask the Lord for the wisdom to handle any situation
you are unsure of. The prayers that get answers are the prayers that are in
God's will. Seek wisdom from God what to pray for and pray in the Spirit.
(James 1:5-8 NKJV)
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all
liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. {6} But let him ask
in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven
and tossed by the wind. {7} For let not that man suppose that he will receive
anything from the Lord; {8} he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
I heard someone say that God heals an unbeliever because of his mercy;
and He heals a Christian because of His covenant with His children. It seems to
be much easier to get an unbeliever dramatically healed. I believe that God is
anxious to reach out and demonstrate His love to bring people into the Kingdom.
Once they are in the Kingdom they have His promises of healing that have already
been given to them, and all we have to do is believe, and receive. An unbeliever
does not have to believe, God is reaching out to give to them His mercy, so that
they can become believers
So other factors come into the situation for a Christian's healing to be
manifested. We know that they were already healed at the cross, but God may be
teaching them endurance and patience. God may be taking them through a situation
so they can be more empathetic and sympathetic with the suffering of others, so
that He can use them in a greater way. God may be taking them through the valley
to increase their faith so they can learn to trust Him more, understanding that
His compassion is always with them. If you are in a situation that seems
hopeless, that is a perfect situation for God to intervene. He is always waiting
for us to become totally dependent upon Him, so that then He can take over the
problem. His strength is made perfect in weakness.
The people that believed in Jesus, and came to Him for healing, He would
say to them "thy faith has made thee
whole". The people that Jesus would be walking by, such as the lame, He
would command them to rise up and walk, to demonstrate His compassion for them,
even before they believed. Since Jesus has already healed us as believers in
Him, it is up to us to believe it, by our faith in Jesus and Him crucified we
have been made whole.
One thing we have the promise of always, is the peace of God, in all
circumstances, as we give the problem to God, He gives us peace in return. Ask
God what to pray for, if you feel He is calling you home you will have peace
through the valley, you will fear no evil, because He is with you all the way.
If you don't have peace with that then take the authority and the healing He has
already given you, and quit doubting, get into the Word, and His promises for
you. Focus only on Jesus, not what the doctors say, not the symptoms, and not
anything else in this physical world, including your flesh body. Whenever things
start getting difficult down here on Earth, look up for your redemption is
drawing near.
Jesus Christ must always be our focus, as we move into the realm of
miraculous faith and begin to see the awesome power of God to save and heal.
Remember Jesus words in (Luke 10:19-20 NKJV) "Behold,
I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the
power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. {20}
"Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you,
but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven." As I said
before salvation is the helmet that protects our mind from pride and despair,
keeping us level headed. It also keeps us from getting caught up into works as a
means of salvation. (Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV) "Not
everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he
who does the will of My Father in heaven. {22} "Many will say to Me in that
day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your
name, and done many wonders in Your name?' {23} "And then I will declare to
them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"
Trying to impress God through works is the greatest insult to Him, we can never
earn our way to God, we must always rejoice in His compassion and grace.
As you move into the realm of compassion, and righteousness, and the
gifts of the Spirit are in operation in your life, remember the greatest gift is
love, having compassion for each other, this is our commandment, to love; this
is what impresses the God of compassion. The reason for all that we are, and all
that we do, and all that we become, is to show forth the compassion of Jesus
Christ, walking is the Holy Spirit of love. Anointing
of the Holy Spirit (1 John 3:17 NKJV)
But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and
shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? (Luke 6:19-20 NKJV)
And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him
and healed them all. {20} Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and
said: "Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God.
2.
The anointing is given to heal and restore people (2 Timothy 2:24-26 NKJV) And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to
all, able to teach, patient, {25} in humility correcting those who are in
opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the
truth, {26} and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the
devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NKJV) But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who
are perishing, {4} whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not
believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image
of God, should shine on them. (Revelation 3:18 NKJV) "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire,
that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the
shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye
salve, that you may see. (Ephesians 2:10 NKJV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good
works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. As we walk
in the anointing of God we go where God wills, do what God wills, and say what
God wills. (John 8:28-29 NKJV)
Then Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you
will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught
Me, I speak these things. {29} "And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father
has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him."
(John 4:10 NKJV)
Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and
who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He
would have given you living water."
(1 John 2:27 NKJV)
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you
do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you
concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught
you, you will abide in Him. ·
The anointing is the river of life that flows from the throne through
your heart and penetrates other people’s hearts (Psalms 36:7-9 NKJV) How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the
children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. {8} They are
abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink
from the river of Your pleasures. {9} For with You is the fountain of life; In
Your light we see light. (Psalms 46:4 NKJV)
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy
place of the tabernacle of the Most High. (Revelation 21:6 NKJV) And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the
Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of
life freely to him who thirsts.
(Ezekiel 47:1-10 NKJV) Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there
was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for
the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right
side of the temple, south of the altar. {2} He brought me out by way of the
north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces
east; and there was water, running out on the right side. {3} And when the man
went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits,
and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. {4} Again
he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to
my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came
up to my waist. {5} Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I
could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a
river that could not be crossed. {6} He said to me, "Son of man, have you
seen this?" Then he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river.
{7} When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on
one side and the other. {8} Then he said to me: "This water flows toward
the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it
reaches the sea, its waters are healed. {9} "And it shall be that every
living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very
great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed,
and everything will live wherever the river goes. {10} "It shall be that
fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for
spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the
Great Sea, exceedingly many. Wherever the river goes it brings life. The fish
in the above passage represent lost souls; the sea represents the sea of
humanity, peoples and nations, that need the gospel message from God’s
anointed people.
(Isaiah 59:16-21 NKJV) He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no
intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own
righteousness, it sustained Him. {17} For He put on righteousness as a
breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of
vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak. {18} According to
their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to
His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay. {19} So shall they fear The
name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When
the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard
against him. {20} "The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn
from transgression in Jacob," Says the LORD. {21} "As for Me,"
says the LORD, "this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you,
and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth,
nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants'
descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore."
(Isaiah 60:1-2 NKJV) Arise,
shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. {2}
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people;
But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
(Psalms 45:3-7 NKJV) Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your
glory and Your majesty. {4} And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of
truth, humility, and righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome
things. {5} Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King's enemies; The
peoples fall under You. {6} Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter
of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. {7} You love righteousness and
hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of
gladness more than Your companions. (Isaiah 58:6-12 NKJV) "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? {7} Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? {8} Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. {9} Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' "If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, {10} If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. {11} The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. {12} Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. ·
Although there is great pleasure and joy in the anointing,
because it is the presence of God, we are not to seek the joy, we are to seek
God, and the benefit of others, the joy is a natural result of these things. The
anointing is not given for the vessel it flows through; it is given for the one
it flows to. (Psalms 16:11 NKJV) You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (James 4:3 NKJV) You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
(1 Corinthians 12:4-12 NKJV) There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. {5} There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. {6} And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. {7} But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: {8} for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, {9} to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, {10} to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. {11} But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. {12} For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some
evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, {12} for the equipping of the saints
for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, {13} till we
all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a
perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; {14} that
we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every
wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful
plotting, {15} but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into
Him who is the head; Christ; {16} from whom the whole body, joined and knit
together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by
which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of
itself in love.
(Matthew 12:31 NKJV) "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be
forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. (1 Chronicles 16:22-24 NKJV)
Saying, "Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no
harm." {23} Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His
salvation from day to day. {24} Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders
among all peoples.
(1
Thessalonians 3:12-13 NKJV) And may
the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as
we do to you, {13} so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness
before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His
saints. Copyright © 1998 Seek God Ministries
