Gary Ballard was born and raised in the
Northwestern part of the United States. He grew up in a Christian
home and attended an Assembly of God church with his family.
He has served as a teacher and an elder in his church.
On a trip to Manila, Philippines at Christmas time
in 1996 Gary was greatly impacted while ministering to the poor on
the streets there. In 1997 Gary felt called by God to publish the
gospel of Jesus Christ on the Internet. He then started the
SeekGod.org web site. Since that time the response from people to
the site has been tremendous. Recognizing God’s blessing on the site
and the great potential to reach many more people Gary formed Seek
God Ministries in 2002. Gary believes that the Internet is the most
cost effective tool to publish the gospel that God has ever given
the church.
The messages that Gary has written do not reflect the
views of any certain denomination but are for the body of Christ everywhere.
They are written as the Holy Spirit leads him. The articles have touched
many people’s hearts in every age group and every country.
Gary married Suzzhette in 1998 and
they have three young children. Gary and his family are now preparing
to move to the Philippines. There they will work as missionaries,
helping to plant churches, working with the poor and helping street
kids and orphans. Gary
will still be fully committed to the web site ministry also. The
Philippines will allow the ministry to afford more help and also
give us more resources for web development.
One of the main projects SGM will be developing is a camp in the Philippines that will be place to edify pastors, ministry workers, and church youth groups. The camp will also be used as a place to introduce street kids to Jesus. We believe the kids will have a life changing encounter with the Lord as they experience God's love for them. We will be working with local pastors in poor areas to do follow up. We believe that families and whole neighborhoods will be transformed through these
outreaches.
We have the property for the camp
but we will need to develop it. If you would like to help you can

For you see your calling, brethren, that
not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are
called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame
the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame
the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things
which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to
nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But
of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God; and
righteousness and sanctification and redemption; that, as it is written, "He
who glories, let him glory in the LORD." (1 Corinthians 1:26-31)
Jesus says, "Abide in Me, and I in you. As
the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine,
neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the
branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without
Me you can do nothing." (John 15:4-5)
This was the Lord's doing; It is marvelous
in our eyes.
(Psalms 118:23)
